Penny Fillingham Photography was launched in 2012 after I qualified with a First Class BA(Hons) Photography from Nottingham Trent University. I have always had a close affinity with the rural community and countryside having grown up in a small Midlands village, so integrating this into my work was a natural way in which to progress with my photography.

My particular interest is working dogs. As the owner of two working Lurchers the summer of 2012 led me to begin photographing for the numerous Lurcher and Whippet racing clubs based around the Midlands and when the racing season ended in the Autumn, friends and family started requesting my services on local shoots.

At the beginning of 2013 I was introduced to the Grove and Rufford Hunt and my passion for hunting, which had laid dormant since the 1980′s when as a child I hunted with the South Notts, was quickly reignited. All else was temporarily dropped for the remainder of the season as I followed the hounds.

Photography is my love; the countryside is my home: My work is as much about the positive promotion of the Hunting, Lurcher and Field Sports communities as it is a job, it is a way of life.

I'm always looking to extend my portfolio and meet like minded people, if you'd like to invite me along to one of your meets, open days, shoots or commission me for a personal photo-shoot then get in touch.
